To ze pies jest nosicielem nie jest grozne - pies cieszy sie dokladnie takim samym zdrowiem jak pies N/N, czyli calkowicie wolny. Nie ma roznicy miedzy nosicielem, a psem zdrowym.

There are signs it may be more complicated than that, here is what Berne University told about Hovawarts breed:

"In Hovawarts it gives many important signs that it exist Hovawarts
heterozygous and ill, and Hovawarts homozygous and healthy.
It seems also the heterozygous develop DM later then the homozygous one."

It's too early to conclude for sure (they did not have autopsy for their cases and DM diagnostic can be fully done only by autopsy) but we need to keep this in mind and stay very close to researchers + support them.
