I remembered I had a photo of Vila that reminded me a lot of the sketch by Hartl, so I just thought I would post it. I'm no expert at all, I would even say that I haven't got a clue about exact proportions

but if you guys think she's "off", I won't be a crybaby about it

I must say that Hartl is really a good designer, but the angles that are proposed in the sketch are nothing more than those reported in the breed standard.
I think it's impossible to have an uniform to the standard of 100%.
I agree that many judges all-round judge really bad, but I don't think that the race is having a catastrophic result.
The standard of the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is clear and leaves very little to the imagination.

I think a pictorial illustration of the standard is a good tool even if all the measurements are either already in the text standard or referred to in bonitation cards.

There are only a few dogs, for example, which I met in real life that I can say have something approaching the shortness of the torso length given in the illustration. And almost all of the dogs I have seen (in real life, again not in photos) don't have as straight angulation both of the front and of the rear.

I haven't met or seen as many Vlcaks as many of the more experienced people here, but I do think that there are many, many Vlcaks that are very dog-like, without ratios approaching this model.. of course there is no dog which is perfect, all of them have some fault, it is a matter of relativity but simply I think it's a good reminder for breeders of the goals so that the trend is always towards dogs with a build like this illustration.
