Welcome Maddie. You've discovered a great resource for all your questions about CsV ownership so you will be as prepared as possible when you are able to have one as your companion. What are you studying at uni? |

as far as i remember i stumbled upon it by accident! me and my OH were talking about what dog we'd get wen we got our own place. he's always liked the different and unique of anything, and as i was brought up around gsd's (my grandmother was a working gsd breeder) i love strong willed and intelligent dogs. so it gave me the task of finding a dog that fits both the bills. i think i found it very briefly mentioned on one site, and literally just the name in a paragraph with no description, so i searched the name and it all started! how about you? |

When it looked like my work situation was going to allow it, i started looking for the dog for me, I also wanted something different from your average lab. I have lived with dogs all my life but the one dog that was mine alone I got for my 10th birthday- she was a collie/red setter cross. Well I'm sure you understand when I say I had a special bond with her. I have not felt I could have a dog that was just mine since her, until the last few years. Starting my search I was looking for something 'a bit different' as with your OH, but also a breed that could offer that bond, that 'best friendship', that special something between owner and dog. Im not sure how that lead to CsV's - I think of must of made the logical step between wolves with their pack instinct to wolfdogs to CsV's |
