The numbers must be all descendants from the dog(puppies, puppies from puppies, etc.).

That was what I was thinking at first...
But Brita cant have had 2,99 Million descendants on a breed on totaly 7500 individuals in the world today...

Or am I wrong

Regards / Mikael

Maybe not only descendents, but also the times breeding affected descendents - like if one dog was the grandfather on both sides because of inbreeding. This would be very high for Brita and the other 3 wolves, but also for the earliest dogs. I'm not sure if I explained that clearly enough...

All of the best,
Marcy

This was what I was trying to say(sometimes I should think twice before writing)
In other words : the number is how many times the dog will show up in pedigrees all the way back to the beginning of the breed

Greetings Rolf

well I guess by now Brita will be in all living CSW`s pedigree(more than once) and the breed started back in 1955, so even that only about 7500 CSW`s are living now, a lot more is dead, which also have Brita in their pedigree(more than once).

If you try counting some of the dogs with small numbers it fits,
But I guess that we must wait for Elf to answer on this ?

Greetings Rolf

This is this number.
I built full pedigree, this means that due to inbreeding the full pedigree tree can be really huge (there is 2^N entries for depth N). I checked for bug but did not find (I can post the code if one want to check).

Thoughts:

- Interesting point, I guess you all see the "shift" the breed took in the newer years...

- Other interesting point, Rep z Pohraniční stráže (0.544571871203%) is in all pedigree of living CsV would be interesting to check dog with lower % and check for dogs doesn't appear in all pedigree (and proportions), this would give a "discriminant separating" point for nowadays "lines".
