CzW in NY...
Hello everybody,
I' a great fan of the Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs but unfortunately I know them only from the picture. I learned about them being in the USA and I thought there were none here but recently I've heard I was wrong. Is there anybody with the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog in the NYC area who would like to meet me at some point and let me see one of those great dogs? Best wishes to everybody, Milka |

Hi,
I'm not sure which dogs there are still in the US, or how many have been imported of late. The most I've ever known about were three. Two females and a male, which was my puppy. The two females are beyond the East Coast... if I remember, one is in Ohio, the other California. Though we live in New Jersey, our male passed away over a year ago of brain cancer, so we are sadly unable to accomodate you. As to the others, I would presume they're too far outside your range for a quick trip, but I'm just guessing there. I'm not certain of any other CsV in the US. Chris Behrens |

person .. and I found out that there is one in Indiana, and two live in California, plus the one female <Sophie> in Pa. that I had the pleasure of meeting With the strict hybrid laws we have in the USA, and now with the bans that this poor <misunderstood> breed is still dealing with, I doubt there will be any pups being imported into our area, any time soon ;( |

I believe that your mail was meant for C. Behrens. I'll forward it. I have a 14month female from Crying Wolf kennels, Hungary. Call me anytime and I'll arrange a meeting with Frida (AKA-Sophie). Regards, John J Slawek |

I need to get used to this
I tried to reply to the AKC question, because I have seen them listed in the FSS .... and I am not very happy about this The FSS is not very strict and I honestly believe that it will encourage "puppy mills" to spring up, and this breed should only be controled by breeders that understand these dogs & the individual lines! Is there anything that the parent club can do about this?? BTW ... I love this new forum, we have just started one for our folks too, but it does take a lot of "getting used to" especially for us "oldies" :P |
