Sorry, but if you're looking for a personal protection dog, or a property guardian, there are many breeds that will do a better job of it.

I do not know about Saarloos but being that shyness is an accepted standard trait, I would not count on Saarloos to be a very good guard dog.

CsV were not bred to be property guardians.. if you are looking for one that will protect your property with its life, I would look at livestock guardians or molosser types, specifically bred to do so.

The Saarloos will not protect you at all, it will run in under a bed

Therefor the Cheskoslovakian is the better...
But if you want a protection dog, I think German Shepard dog would be the best one. Not show line ! you need a dag that can walk and run

Best regards / Mikael

(Sorry Jing, did not see your post, when I posted...)

Get a livestock guarding dog, like an Anatolian Shepherd or Cuvac.

If you do not feel safe - learn some martial arts or get a gun. Nothing protects your yard better than a protection service. A dog is not as effective, also costs much more money and time and effort.

Default Security dog.....

See what can happen if you train a "classical" guard dog like Dobermann with a laser pointer....

Hope all people here enjoy the video.

Best greetings , Silvester

Hey Rona ! - No, that´s not Mikael in the video ....

He´s a little older - and more careful. I only made special greetings to him because I know his sence of humour.

But who knows? - may be the young man is a relative of Mikael...
