Domyślnie wolves and wolfdogs howling

I forgot to post this old film.
i was at the zoo and the wolf pack goes away from sight.
they suddenly start howling all together.
It sounded so good that i started filming a short clip...
but...i was positively surprised that during the clip an "unexpected" couple joined the "chorus"

Hello Massimo,
I played the video on my notebook, and suddenly two wolfdogs are sitting next to me and listened excited to the tape. Hron is still searching for the missing wolves... wondering, why they are so small to find place in this little, grey thing ontop my table

best regards
Tanja

even my lazy boy got up by this sound and looked behind the boxes to try and find out where the sound comes from
Nice fragment!

Hi,

at the moment and in the next few months we and our dogs join our household with four Carpathian wolves.
Nadia, the female, started real howling at the age of 12 days, when she was hungry or looking for daddy and mummy, Farouk (our male wolfdog) always responded immediately.
The funny thing is, he never does it with "normal" dogs.

Regards,

Michael

Great photos. The wolf pups look awesome.
I am also very amazed, that the inflatable pool is not broken

They broke it two days ago
But I must say it lasted longer than normally. We always use it with our litters and normally it gets broken one week earlier.
Our dogs are quite interested but treat them as normal puppies that are no pack members. They are nice and interested but not as engaged as with the puppies of one of our bitches. Except Altai (Falin Zlatá Palz) who is the pack-babysitter and tends to vomit food as soon as she sees a pup. She was swallowing a lot but her stomach was empty.

after the first night with my very tired husband, 10 days old.

a very tired "Norbert" after exploring the bed in his favorite sleeping place.

We just got a question about why we do this and I would like to post the answer here too, because - like the person asking - we are no friends of wolfs or their hybrids in privat hands. And though it is a great experience to make we wouldn´t have done it for keeping the wolfs ourself.

We just keep the wolfes for an enclosure (of course with every necessary official permission) till Oktober and hand rear them. The reason for that nowadays often used method is that they don´t get shy against humans and don´t have stress living in a park with visitors. The wolfes are born in captivity and couldn´t stay in the park they were born, there is no sense to take them back into the wild. They come into a newly build enclosure that is build after our advice and we will be the responsible grooms and me the responsible veterinarian after that. We will take care that they won´t reproduce. The parkowners are very responsible persons that we are in contact with since several years.
We also will have a time every day where the park visitors will get informations about wolfs in general. And though I rather prefer wolfes in the wild do they need a big amount of public relations that enclosure wolfes can give. We have wild wolfpacks in Germany now and already hunters that would like to kill them. It is very necessary to inform the public about them. You only protect what you know and like and respect.
But again we are strictliy against privat keeping of wolfes and their hybrids as pets.
