I have only one account "massimo" which lets me use the forum but not the csw database.
Any reason why?

Yes - so far the are 2 different systems:
- old (database and main page)
- new (forum and gallery)

We switched off the old version (we are working on the new web page at the moment so please be patient). 8)

Guest VS Vertified user
 

When will it be possible to be a vertified user again ?:)

Cause as Guest it is not possible to see bonitation code and other usefull information and that really sucks:(

....I hope that I soon will be able to use wolfdog.org`s special information again ?

To be veryfied user of the database you must login second time through the main page. But remember - usualy there will be another password for your account as for the forum and gallery...

i really don't understand, there are other users like me in the same situation.
We log in and are recognised on the forum and we are not verified users for the database.
I'm having some problems because I am interested to see offspring etc of some dogs and I cannot use this fabulous website you are kindly offering us!! :lol::lol::lol:

My situation is always the same...i'm logged in as massimo for forum but NOT for database.

Margo, do you mean it's fully working ? No way for me too to be verified user. Maybe you could post a little "how to" ?

For the forum you can login up-right in forum menu and for the main page on the right or bottom-left (but if you're already log on you may need to remove the cookies from your computer to see the form again).

It is awful that I and a lot of other people, now can’t see all the useful information in database (about offspring, HD aso) :(
But at the same time it proves how important is this website, for every one who is interested in CsW. :)
Because it is the only place where you can find so much info about CSW!!
And I realise it is a lot of work for you and Przemek to make all the changes, so I’ll be patient :)

The same for me, stuck in Anonymous user.

Hmmm... it was only for a while... :( :(

With this link now I am only able to log in for my personal page and then only the administration panel...

But when I go to data base or mainpage everything is the same as before, because then I am logged out again :(

I am one of the moderators too, and I have the same problem for a few days. I told Margo and Przemek about this problem, but there is no solution until now.

I don't think anyone can thank those of you, but most especially Margo and Przemek, for all of the "unseen" work that goes into maintaining this site. It's a lovely thing to look forward to after a long day! THANK YOU!!!

I do look forward to the day when registration will open up to new users again- I love the forum, but there is still plenty of information that I would love to learn that I cannot see without registering.

But, as an old saying goes, "Good things come to those who wait!":)

From one computer (windows + firefox) when I log in I'm anonymous user, from my laptop (linux + firefox) when I log in I'm guest user ... weird.

Please check now if you are able to log into the database. You have to be logged in on the forums to see restricted data in the database.

Well, me I downgrade from "anonymous" to "guest" :(

I cleaned all the cookies from the pc, I logged on the forum page (it worked), then when I log on the main page it doesn't work (it was working before). The same happend with "Remember me" set on not. So now I can only be "guest".

Check now.. i have added you to "verified users" group

If it can help: the use of "remember me" on the forum page is needed. I guess "remember me" write a cookie needed for the DB. Without it, one will be logged, able to post etc... but will still be guest.

Take it easy, Massimo. I have the same problem. I am registered and logged-in as Mirkawolf, yet when I want to access the database, it tells me that I have to register again.
And instead of breeder level, it shows that I am "guest" level.
Funny enough, I am rather sure it was working well few days ago.. weird.

The solution made by Przemek is only a bridge between the old and new system which should work for a while till the new database will be finished...

No it does not work. It says:

And I am logged in.
And I already send you PM (though about something else) and got no reply, so I don´t see any sense sending any other PM´s, if you ignore them.

Mirka, try to have "remember me" option marked, on the FORUM logging in page, not the main page. Please view Elf's post above. It works for me. So you go to the forum page first, log in there with "remember me" and then you can return back to Wolfdog.org mainpage ( for example with one of the links on the bottom of the forum page) And now you can enter the database as verified user...:) Regards, Miia

Thanks for help Miia, but it really does not work, even if I do exactly what you say. I am logged in the forum, but in the database I am still access level guest and anonymous user. And funny enough, I don´t even have to be logged in Wolfdog.org as such at the same time, and if I try, it writes to me "hang on, we are logging you in" or what it says and tada.. it does NOT log me on :lol:

Funny jokes, eh? So no matter where I am logged in and if I am logged in, I cannot access the database as normal verified user with breeder level. :roll: I guess I won´t jump out of the window about it, there are other things on this website, that bother me more at the moment, frankly.

Which "link or button" on the bottom of the forumpage do you use for going back to the mainpage??

The links at the bottom of the forum pages are as follows

If you click the second "Wolfdog.org forum", it is linked to the very first page www.wolfdog.org with all the flags and language options. Then you choose the English flag, you get to the "main page" with all the topics and news. Then on the left-hand side you just choose "enter database" and that's how I am a verified user in the database and can view the information of the dogs.

A little bit complicated but manageable :lol: (And of course your browser must enable cookies to be created in the first place...)
There may be a shorter way, but that's the one I found, heh :lol:

And I hope the situation gets better and easier once the new and the old system will be combined.

As for main topic "I can not login to the database". Currently there is only a bridge between forum and database which does not work as it should in some web browsers. If you are logged in on forums and don't see the database data then please check other browser: IE, Firefox or Opera. The database has to be rewritten in Drupal (currently working under Postnuke). This should be ready within next 6-7 months - at least the most critical part.

We were able to fix two big problems in the database.

First from now you are able to see all the details again.

Second: some users which had problems with logging in to the forum should finally be able to join our community. If someone of you STILL have any problems please write us and we will fix it immediately.
