Hello I would like everybody to add good quality photos of CsV whit children and different animals on this topic, to show that CsV are not "Big bad wolf" or "aggressive hybrids" And also to inform that this is a FCI dog breed and not a so called Hybrid. Hoping for your help and support  I start whit this photos of Mila Silver Power I found in the WD database, they are so cute !!! http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/2...ilverpower.jpg http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1...lverpower1.jpg Very best regards / Mikael |

Nice photos (the one I prefer is Callisto with cat(alive!) in mouth : super!)
But if we want to "show" the character of this breed to someone, I think this thread could be not so objective  CSW maybe could be friendly with other house's pets, but the true is that it is not so certain, and potentially a csw (or a pack of csw) more likely could became a real killer of rats, cats, sheeps and everything walking on four legs (and even birds) outside our house. ---- I prefer photos with childrens : these dogs in most cases could be very friendly and respectful with them, even with the smallest babies. |
I ve a 4 month old CzW and I was wondering how people who post those photos with rats and some other small animals train their dogs to be trustfull around small animals.
Mine is always trying to play to hard with my 2 month old german Shepard and my other small breed mix. What should i do to teach her to play nice with them? Thanks!;) |
Big rat ;), puppy Baaj.

We have some tragical experience with Brukne's hunting skills. She was 5 months old when she ate my iguana (she was trying to attack it since the very first time she saw that lizard), a couple of cockatiels came after few weeks... We were always laughting, looking at the "young ornitologist" observing the birds, but the cage of birds seemed to be too high for such a young dog. One evening while nobody was at home, Brukne simply droped the cage down, smashed the plastic bottom of it and had a nice dinner  By the way, "cats are friends, not food" for her. Birds, walking on ground too close to us allways cange Brukne's expression a lot. |
What a monster! :D

With cat
I didn't try to introduce my rat to our wolfdog, but we did introduce the dog to our cat early on. They say that this mutual tolerance is built best when both the dog and the cat are very young.
We always watched their interaction and we let Raksha know that this little black kitty demon is under our protection. First she was afraid of the cat, but later on she gained courage to touch the kitten and soon found out what fun it is to chase the cat and to nuzzle it, lick it, chew it... http://www.wolfdog.org/forum/picture...pictureid=6244 But we always looked on, and if Raksha was too rough we stopped her. Now the cat is always faster than Raksha, so we let them freely in the garden, knowing that if the cat is caught by our wolfish beast, it is because the cat wanted it so. Here is my gallery with pictures of our wolfdog and our cat. The cat also knows to meow loudly when Raksha bites too hard and we are ready to remind Raksha that the little black provocateur is always to remain in one, healthy piece when she is done with it;] All this I think prevents Raksha from killing our cat, but I am not sure about other cats. They used to roam our garden freely, but since we have Raksha, not a single cat stranger was spotted... I wonder;D Anyway, the cat from time to time lets Raksha catch it and seems to enjoy the massage of its belly. When I pull them apart, the cat gives me usually an annoyed look, thinking "Whaaat?!" or "Mind your OWN bussines!" and stretches his paws again towards the dog's jaws. |
CsV share food whit cats :)
